Latest photonics technology tested in hazardous chemical detection trials

The latest photonic tools for remote detection of hazardous chemical and biological materials have been integrated into robots and unmanned aerial vehicles and successfully field tested by DSTL scientists, the military, police and fire services.  The culmination of Project Minerva supported four UK teams were to develop concept systems into field testable demonstration systems over 18 months.
