The Optical Society has awarded Carol Monaghan, MP it’s 2018 Advocate of Optics for her “public policy leadership and efforts in support of the advancement of the science of light” as chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Photonics which is supported by the Photonics Leadership Group.
Carol continues to champion science and education in Westminster successfully raising awareness of the vital contribution of photonics to society and the economy and the PLG extends its congratulations to Carol on this well deserved recognition.
