
The Photonics Leadership Group AGM will be on the 9 October 2025, forming part of the PLG Autumn meeting at the Technology and Innovation Centre Glasgow and online.
As part of succession planning, nominations are now open for the new role of Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) to be appointed by member vote at the AGM. The DCE role will shadow the PLG Chief Executive for at least a year, with a view to succeeding them in leading the PLG in the future, subject to confirmation vote by the membership. Please contact the PLG to discuss expectations for the DCE role.
The AGM will also include summary of PLG activity for 2025, approval of the accounts and confirmation of the appointments of the PLG Chair-person, Vice-Chair and Treasurer and Photonics Leadership Ltd directors.
Nominations should be submitted to PLG Chief Executive John Lincoln by 29 September 2025. Self-nominations are welcome. Please include a brief (<250 word) biography to support nomination for the DCE role. Further details of on the role and that of Chief Executive are available from the PLG.
PLG officer roles and voting criteria at AGM are laid out in PLG officers and roles definitions. Participants qualify to vote at the AGM by attending two or more of the more of the last six PLG meetings or attendance at two or more PLG meetings in the in last two years. Voting is restricted to one person per organisation. Proxies are permitted for those unable to attend in person.
