£20m fast-track Innovate competition for technologies to build coronavirus resilience

Innovate UK has launched a fast-track competition to support the rapid development of technologies that boost the UK’s resilience to the impact of coronavirus and any potential similar future situations.

The competitions opens 3 April and closes in just 14 days on 17 April.  The application process has been streamlined to just FOUR scored questions -the idea, deliverables & impact, resources, plan and costs. All grants are claimable in advance

An online competition briefing is available. There are a number of important difference to this compeititon relative to standard innovate competitions, including the use of internal assessors for speed.

Grants up to £50k per single company, 6 month duration, starting no later than June with an ability to deliver in current and future guidelines for travel and work.

In addition DASa have launched at £1m fast track competition fund for ideas and novel approaches to boost Armed Forces in Coronavirus effort. Closing 15 April.
