Commercialising quantum technologies- round 2

The latest competition from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) commercialising quantum technologies challenge will award up to £30million to industry led projects addressing technological barriers to the commercial exploitation of quantum technologies.

Projects should exploit second generation quantum techniques (superposition) in one or more of the challenge areas of:

  • Connectivity
  • Situation awareness
  • Quantum computing

This latest is competition is differentiated from previous competitions which focused on developing developing products, services and components. Projects must be industry led, collaborative and have eligible costs of £4m-£20m (max grant £10m).

The PLG understands that submissions with primary impact in second generation quantum commercialisation and secondary broader impact are welcome as long as the impact in quantum 2.0 commercialisation is clear and paramount.

The only briefing event for this compeititon will be held on 30 October in London. The EOI stage of the competition will open on 28th October 2019 and close on 27th November 2019, with further details posted by Innovate UK in October.
