The PLG warmly welcomes the announcement of a new Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult by Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne on Friday 8 Jan 2016.
The 11th Catapult to be funded will be head quartered in Wales and supported with £10m/ year in central government funding. The Catapult will focus on the applications of compound semiconductors in power electronics, sensors, photonics and RF electronics and, as an enabling technology, will have broad ranging impact in communications, energy, transport , manufacturing and many other key UK industries
